METAL OPTIONS

I currently have Brass, Nickel Silver, and now Copper metal available. Brass is a nice gold color, nickel silver is of course silver colored, and copper is almost pink in color. It matches rose gold hardware nicely. See photo of all metals next to each other below if you need help deciding.

 

NEED A CHANGE TO DESIGN?

If you see a design that you love, but want something simple changed like type of flower, stars added, snowflakes removed, name added to the front, etc, just shoot me a message! I may be able to easily edit the design free of charge.

NEED A SMALLER SIZE?

All my tags are made for 1.25" tags, but most can easily fit a smaller 1" size for cats and small dogs. If you find a design that is not currently offered in a 1 inch size please message me. With enough edits I can usually get the design to work, but sometimes adjustments have to be made so I'd prefer to send an edited sketch before confirming. There is no fee for this service. 

I would recommend 1" sizing for all cats and dogs weighing 15-20 lbs or less. See photo below for my small size.

 

WHAT DOES THE BACK LOOK LIKE?

Here is an example that shows what the text looks like on the back of my tags. I can fit 3 lines easily on the back. Please message me if you need more text added and I will let you know if I can make it fit. This photo also shows the difference between my standard size and small sized tag. All tags pictured on my website are the 1.25" size unless otherwise noted.

 

WHY ARE THE BACKGROUNDS ON EACH TAG DIFFERENT?

The etching process creates striations around the design. Each tag etches in its own unique way, some with more lines, some with more smooth patches, some with tiny little bubbles. I am also always learning and improving my methods. You will notice some designs' backgrounds are lighter while others are darker. The darker method is my new style and makes my designs pop even more than before, especially from a distance. All tags are now finished with my newer method. The design itself will always look the same from tag to tag, but the backgrounds may still have small differences and variations in every batch I etch.

 

 

SHIPPING

Shipping time for tags is approximately 2 weeks from time of sale. I ship via USPS first class mail only (now called Ground Advantage as of July 2023). I charge a flat rate of $5.00 for tags shipped in the United States and $10.00 for everywhere else. 

 

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Since tags are made to order and have custom information on the back I do not take returns. All sales are final. If a mistake or error is found please contact me within one week of receiving your tag to discuss options for replacement or for a partial refund.

ABOUT MY TAGS

All artwork is handmade and drawn by me. Please do not copy or use without permission. I craft each tag with love and care and want to get them to their new home as soon as possible! With that said, I am only one person and things happen that may delay your order.

Feathered Fox Den tags are made to be durable and can easily withstand a hike through the woods or a splash in the water. Please note that wearing multiple metal tags at once will cause scratches and blemishes to the tag. It should also be noted that tags can catch or snag on objects and should never be left on pets unsupervised. Tags will eventually oxidize and tarnish over time, but can be shined up easily with a polishing cloth or pad.
